アメリカで、9ドル77セントの買物をしたときに10ドルと2セント出したら
「これ（2セント）はどういう意味？」と聞かれて30秒くらい問答になった。
「いーから、そのままレジ打って」って言ったら納得行かないような表情で打込んで、
お釣りが25セント（1コイン）になったのを見て「Oooh!」って大袈裟に驚いてた。
後に並んでた他の客も驚いて、「スゲェ。なんで25になるって解ったんだ？」とか
絶賛してくれた。

最近はもうめんどくさいんでQuater以外は寄付箱に入れるか、家の小銭用瓶に詰めとく。その辺のスーパーに小銭をドル紙幣にする機械が置いてあるし(10%くらい手数料取られるけど)。
